in this post because Astrid told
me that I seldom do and it is
affecting her writing.
Today I woke up relatively
early to eat brunch with
Daniel and Steven. It was
very nice; we walked to a
place on Main Street and I
got a smoked salmon sandwich
with red onions and cream
cheese, as well as a hot chocolate.
They were very generous
with the smoked salmon
and I'm definitely going to
go there again. It was
not too far away. It would
only be about five blocks
from my dorm building. I liked
eating with Daniel and Steven
because it was very relaxed.
We shared our food with each
other and had nice conversation.
After brunch, Daniel and Steven
went to go work in the library
and I came back here to sit around.
I eventually went out to the butt
courtyard and read a few paragraphs
of environmental studies. I ran into
Nick there, but he finished quickly
and went to the gym. Around 6
I decided to see what was up with
the others. I ended up going to see
Easy A with Daniel and Steven,
even though I didn't eat dinner. The
movie was good; I thought the plot
was clever. The ending was cute.
We met up with Gabe, his friend
Taryn (?), and Dan's friend Illyana (?).
They were all juniors from hirise.
We played Settlers of Catan for two
hours. I was on Daniel's team. It was
fun! It was more interesting than I
remember Settlers of Catan being the
last time I tried to play it. Gabe, the
most experienced player, ended up
winning. It was fairly close at the
end though; it wasn't always clear
that he would win. I would have rather
had him win than Taryn and Steven
though, because he is cooler than them.
Gabe, Taryn, Daniel, Illyana, and I
are going to go to the Dinosaur State
Park and the Prehistoric mini golf tomorrow.
It should be cool! Other people might go,
but I am not sure. We are planning to
leave after lunch, perhaps around one thirty.
Besides these events, nothing else really
happened today. There wasn't any frisbee
because we're on fall break. I won't have
my morning class on Wednesday because
my professor's grandmother died. He suggested
we discuss the reading with our peers and then
email him what we talked about. I should
probably do it.
Well, I'm going to go now. I will
probably watch more Psych episodes;
they are so addictive. Goodnight!
